Yinka Tijani Monitoring and EvaluationTijani Rafiu Yinka was born on the 9th September 1970 in Epetedo Area of Lagos State.

He was employed to the State Civil Service on 3rd February in the Year 2000 as Inspector of Taxes 11 Grade Level 08 and deployed to the defunct Board of Internal Revenue. His appointment was confirmed on 3rd February 2002.

In 2003 he was promoted to the post of Inspector of Taxes 1 Grade Level 09 and deployed to the Directorate of Tax Audit. He was redesigned to Planning Cadre in 2006 and promoted to the post of Senior Planning Officer Grade Level 10 and deployed to Women Development Centre as head of Planning Unit.

By 2007 he was deployed to the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Technical Aids Department later the Department was christened to Development Partnership Department, (DPD). Mr. Tijani was the Secretary of State Partnership for Accountability Responsiveness and Capability (SPARC) while also in DPD He assisted in the facilitation of signing of MOU between Lagos State and United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA) and became the desk officer for LASG/UNFPA.He was promoted to the post of Principal Planning Officer Grade Level 12 in 2009.

In 2011 he was deployed to the State Treasury Office (STO) as Head Planning Unit, in the Financial Intelligence and Research Department.

He was promoted to the post of Assistant Chief Planning Officer Grade Level 13 in 2012

He was deployed to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives in 2015 as the Head of Planning Unit where he was responsible for the preparation of Annual Budget, Coordination of the preparation of Medium Tem Sector Strategy (MTSS) and Performance Management Review (PMR) Documents. He was alsoin charge of Monitoring and Evaluation of programmes and projects of the Ministry.

Mr. Tijani R.Y. was deployed to the newly created Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment to the Monitoring and Evaluation Department.

Mr. Tijani has Bachelor of Science in Economicsfrom University of Ilorin and Masters of Economics in University of Lagos.

He has attended several courses among others are;‘’Economic DevelopmentStrategy’’ at the Lagos Business School;‘’Research and Methodologyfor Economic and Social Science’’organized by the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budgetin collaboration with University of Lagos (UNILAG) ;English andCommunication Skills organized by the Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pension in collaboration with Lagos State University(LASU).

Mr. Tijani is a member of professional associations among are; amember Nigerian Economic Society (NES); Associate member Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM); Associate member Charter Institute of Taxation (CITN)and an Associate member Nigerian Association of Energy Economics (NAEE).

His areas of specialization is in Economic Planning and Budget, Monitoring & Evaluation and Economic Research & Analysis among others.
